Raising Cane's

Raising Cane's needed a single responsive site to replace their separate mobile and desktop properties — and a restaurant locator that could keep up with the rollout pace.

The situation

Raising Cane's was running a separate mobile-only site alongside its desktop property. The two were drifting apart — content updates landed on one and not the other, and the restaurant locator couldn't keep up with new openings.

They needed one responsive site, on a CMS the marketing team could maintain, with a locator designed to scale with the brand.

What we did

  • Migrated content to Drupal so the marketing team could update copy without engineering tickets
  • Built a single responsive layout to replace the separate desktop and mobile-only properties
  • Developed a Google Maps-powered restaurant locator that supports the chain's ongoing expansion
  • Adapted the existing visual design to a responsive grid without losing the brand feel

What happened

The consolidated site shipped on Drupal with one responsive layout. The locator pulls from a single data source so new openings appear automatically, and the marketing team owns content updates end to end.

Since the engagement, Raising Cane's has grown from a regional chain to over 880 locations and more than $5 billion in system-wide revenue.
